Juvéderm Vollure

Juvéderm Vollure is part of the Juvéderm product line that uses Vycross Technology, along with Juvéderm Voluma and Juvéderm Volbella. Vycross technology is the unique process of cross linking high and low hyaluronic acids to produce an efficient, injectable filler that is ideal for smoothing out fine lines, wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm Vollure is wonderful because it caters to many patients’ needs, and lasts significantly longer than many other dermal fillers. A typical injection of Juvéderm Vollure can last at least one year and up to 18 months.

What are the results of Vollure?

When comparing spreadability, durability and gel thickness, Vollure falls in the middle between Juvéderm Voluma and Volbella. The smoothing effect that Vollure has on nasolabial folds and other deep creases is instantly visible–and long- lasting. You may be an ideal candidate for Juvéderm Vollure if you have deep lines and your skin does not show signs of severe laxity. Vollure is not intended to treat skin that has lost too much elasticity. Treatments are best performed by a medical professional who has an excellent understanding of facial anatomy as well as experience with using dermal fillers.

What is a Vollure treatment like?

A Vollure treatment is a straightforward in-office procedure. During the appointment, Dr. Sobel will introduce the specially formulated gel into the folds and creases that line the mouth and nose. A fine needle is used during this procedure allowing for precise control of the product amount being injected. To improve patient comfort, the gel contains a small amount of a mild numbing agent. In addition, this procedure is made virtually painless with a topical anesthetic gel. A single session generally lasts less than an hour, depending on the area being treated.

How long does Vollure results last?

Individual results will vary, but a patient can enjoy the benefits of a Vollure treatment for up to 18 months. The hyaluronic acid will eventually break down and, to maintain results, another injection will be necessary.

What to expect while recovering from Vollure injections?

You can return to work and other normal activities immediately after your appointment. Some patients have no side effects, while other patients may experience minor bruising and swelling at the injection sites. These usually resolve within a day to a few days. If you have bruising, we offer a complimentary laser treatment which will help break up the bruise so it goes away faster.
